Someone posted the first article on Facebook and when I opened it, I saw the link for the second. Privilege is something that people don’t realize exist or think about. I didn’t until I took Intro to Interpreting. It exists. For every majority group that exists. Simply being aware of it is a step forward. Eventually we’ll get to the point where there is no privilege. Some day. But right now we need to learn to be aware of it so we can slowly start to level the playing field.
